This tower, which is about two blocks from our hotel, is the entrance to the part of Prague known as Old Town: this tower used to be part of the wall surrounding the city.
Just to the right of the tower is the municipal building. Built in 1910, it is in the Art Nouveau style.
Before the reign of the Hapsburgs, houses and buildings were not marked with numbers, but rather with symbols. Here we have the house of the black elephant.
Old Town Square. The first day we were here, a Beatles cover band was playing.
